Our Values | The Standards Behind Access Wealth
Our values ★★★★★ 4.8 on Based on 100 + reviews

The values that shaped us shape the way we work.

Growing up with very little taught us the importance of honesty, personal responsibility, hard work and making the most of every opportunity. Those lessons still shape how we treat people, make decisions and show up for our clients and each other. They are the values we reinforce across Access Wealth and expect our entire team to uphold.

Where the values came from

We grew up with very few options. We built Access Wealth to help more families create theirs.

Dory and Ben grew up near Kempsey in a small home their father built himself. Their parents had very little money, and after years of manual labour, their father underwent back surgery in his early forties. The family became dependent on disability and carer pensions.

Years later, with no retirement plan and their home deteriorating around them, their parents were left with few realistic choices. Dory and Ben stepped in together to help them out.

The experience made the purpose behind Access Wealth personal: help people confront their financial future early enough to still have choices, and avoid reaching retirement dependent on their children because there was never a plan in place.

Why Access Wealth exists

That experience became our mission.

Help everyday Australians achieve greater financial freedom through property investing, without the bullshit.

Give people the education, strategy, support and honest conversations needed to face their financial future while there is still enough time to create real options.

The lesson we carried forward

Waiting feels easier now. It becomes much harder later.

Australia has a strong ‘she’ll be right’ mentality. Put it off, deal with it later and hope it works itself out. But financially, waiting is still a decision, and it quietly uses up the one resource a long-term plan needs most: time.

Doing nothing has a cost.

Facing your debt, retirement position and the gap between where you are and where you want to be can feel uncomfortable. It is easier to delay the conversation, avoid the numbers and tell yourself you will deal with it later.

But waiting does not make the problem go away. Debt remains, retirement gets closer and the time available for a plan to work becomes shorter.

A small amount of discomfort now is not comparable to reaching retirement without enough money, enough time or enough choices left to change the outcome.

“Your financial future is coming for you whether you like it or not. At some point, you have to draw a line in the sand and decide what you are going to do about it.”

We are not perfect. We are accountable.

No person or team gets everything right all the time. What matters is how seriously we take the responsibility our clients place in us and the standard we choose to uphold together.

Across Access Wealth, we expect honesty, ownership, effort and a genuine willingness to improve. These values guide how we treat people, make decisions, respond to challenges and support one another.

They are not just the founders’ values. They are the standards we reinforce across the business and expect every member of our team to uphold.

  • Be honest about what is working and what is not
  • Take responsibility for what is within our control
  • Do the difficult and repetitive work properly
  • Learn from experience and keep improving
The standards we operate on

Five values. One standard.

These values shape the way we educate, advise, communicate and follow through for every client. Each one is paired with what it means in practice—and, where possible, the words of a client who experienced it.

01 Radical Integrity

Tell the truth and stand behind what we commit to.

Radical Integrity means giving you a clear and honest view of your position, the opportunity and the risks involved. We do not rely on optimistic assumptions or tell you what is easiest to hear.

What clients experience Transparent numbers, realistic expectations, clear communication and a team willing to protect your interests even when doing so is inconvenient or commercially difficult.
In Charlie’s words
“Everything was very upfront, very honest. There was documentation, there were slides, there was everything to back up what they’d said. And now I’m two and a half years through this process, and they’ve lived up to absolutely everything.”
02 Kind, Not Nice

Care enough to have the conversation that genuinely helps.

Sometimes the most helpful conversation is not the easiest one. We take the time to explain where you stand, what may be holding you back and whether your current direction is likely to get you where you want to go.

What clients experience Honest guidance without sugarcoating, patient explanations and a team willing to challenge procrastination or assumptions when doing so may help you make a better decision.
In Robert and Alison’s words
“They gave us lots of clarity on our current financial position. They didn’t really sugarcoat anything, which was nice.”
03 Extreme Ownership

Help move the problem forward instead of passing it on.

A property journey involves builders, developers, banks, brokers, solicitors and many moving parts. When an issue arises, our focus is not simply identifying who caused it. Our focus is helping move it towards a resolution.

What clients experience A team that follows up, escalates concerns, coordinates the relevant people and stays involved rather than leaving you to manage problems between separate providers.
In Simone and Peter’s words
“The day after we signed on both those properties, my husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer... We could basically just go, ‘I don’t want to worry about this, tell me what I need to do and just get it done.’”
04 Relentless Execution

Do the detailed work required to carry the plan through.

A strategy only creates value when the work behind it is completed properly. Much of that work is repetitive, time-consuming and largely invisible, but it still matters to the outcome.

What clients experience Detailed research, conservative modelling, contracts and deadlines followed up, moving parts coordinated and a team that keeps the process progressing from strategy through to handover.
In Matthew’s words
“The passage of information and all the detail that goes into everything, right down to where you’re investing and that little hub that you’re eventually going to call your investment property. No level of detail’s missed.”
05 Kaizen & Kintsugi Mindset

Keep improving the way we support you.

Kaizen means becoming a little better every day. Kintsugi means using challenges and experience to rebuild something stronger. Together, they shape how we review and improve the service.

What clients experience Clearer communication, stronger systems, better research and a process that continues to improve through feedback, changing markets and real client outcomes.
Radical Integrity sets the commitment. Kind, Not Nice keeps the guidance honest. Extreme Ownership keeps issues moving. Relentless Execution carries the work through. Kaizen and Kintsugi make the next version stronger.
